The American Planning Association has produced a Climate Change Policy Guide publication through the efforts of APA's Sustainable Communities Division (SCD). Embodied within the guide are over 50 policies and hundreds of supporting strategies to help planners proactively and effectively respond to a changing climate.

Since the 1980’s, the City of Lewisville’s population has been experiencing rapid growth and is now home to approximately 100,000 residents. This rapid growth has led city leaders to pursue energy conservation strategies that will achieve a sustainable community.
